Copper Tea Kettle

13 November 2013

Copper tea kettle surrounded by stitched words and tea strainers. Copper, as it should be with distinct blue at the bottom. Signature of time.

Multi-coloured by numerous shades of each silk thread used.

It is a gamble – choosing which end to start with or use to continue the stitch line, darker shade or lighter shade? Then a sudden explosion of dramatically different shade.

At first it seems absurd the combination of colours!

But looking at the fully stitched kettle, one could hardly wonder.

My unique copper tea kettle. My one and only, even though there are others like me, who stitched the same motif. Various threads, shades, linen, count…. Recipe goes wild.

Even if you choose the same threads I did, it will be Your OWN result, YOUR OWN KETTLE!

(wish I could admire yours).
