Snow-white ball on red Aida canvas – three fantastic evenings of long forgotten pleasure of stitching on a thick fabric, without a frame and constant tightening. Just holding the canvas with my left hand while my right one places stitches. DMC design from 2005, found during one of my treasure hunts in a charity shop….
A tea kettle in all shades of yellow with occasional light and dark brown – you might have a different one depending on which end of your hand-dyed thread you start with! Mine is optimistically yellow.
My first primitive Christmas design, design by Lizzie Kate, a special limited edition of 2009 in connection with her visit to Italy. A kit with noble linen, hand-dyed Weeks dye Works threads and a bookmark signed by the designer herself! Weird to stitch with two threads over two and the linen 28 is a bit…
Words embrace the Royal blue tea pot, filling all available space on linen, climbing higher and higher, framing the image. My favourite are chocolate “Gunpowder”, unusually bright yellow “Ginger” and muddy blue “Dragon Well”. Half of the pattern stitched. I hate even thinking that it will soon be all done!!!!!
